We conducted an informal survey to better understand the adaptations companies have implemented in response WFH and hybrid work situations — particularly in relation to work culture. We also asked employees to tell us in their own words what their biggest struggles have been so companies can better shape remote work strategies that truly get at the heart of employee needs.
“I am afraid that I will miss something, a conversation details, important information, etc. if I’m not connected all the time.”
“I am afraid that people will feel that I am not pulling my weight if I am not connected all the time.”
“I feel like I’m performing inadequately because I’m not being very productive.”
“Without being loudly self-promoting, I am afraid I won’t get recognized for the work I am doing.”
“I already feel like an outsider on my team, without the in-person daily interactions, I now feel completely left out of the decision-making process.”
“I feel some kind of way that my coworkers have an easier time working from home
because they have more personal resources available to them.”
